Terms of Service
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Morteza Saedi, an individual based in California, United States ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Music Connect app and this website. By creating an account you accept them.
Who can use Music Connect
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may only use Music Connect with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the app. Anyone under 13 may not create an account, and we remove accounts we discover belong to children under 13.
Accounts belonging to users under 18 have extra protections turned on by default, described in our Privacy Policy. Adults may not attempt to contact a user under 18 who has not chosen to follow them, and any adult who uses the service to pursue contact with minors will be removed and, where appropriate, reported.
One account per person; bands and other groups may have their own profiles managed by a member. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has access.
Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the recordings, photos, videos and text you post. To run the service, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting and streaming, and display your content inside Music Connect, and to show it to the audience you choose. This licence exists so the app can function; it ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others and short-lived backups.
Only post work you own or have permission to use. If your recording includes someone else's composition, performance or master, make sure you have the right to share it.
What you may not do
- Post content that infringes copyright, trademarks or anyone's rights.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate or stalk anyone.
- Contact or attempt to contact a user under 18 for any purpose other than music, or try to move a conversation with a minor off the app.
- Post sexual content involving minors, any content sexualising minors, or attempt to arrange contact with a minor for any purpose other than open, legitimate musical collaboration — accounts doing this are removed and reported to the authorities.
- Post hateful, violent or unlawful content.
- Spam, scrape, or use bots and automated access.
- Attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Solicit money under false pretences, or use the app to defraud other users.
Arrangements between users
Music Connect helps musicians find each other. Any lesson, session, gig, collaboration or payment you agree with another user is between the two of you. We are not a party to it, we do not vet users or verify their claims, and we are not responsible if someone does not show up, does not pay, or is not who they said they were. Use ordinary judgement, especially when meeting someone in person for the first time. If you are under 18, do not meet anyone from the app in person without a parent or guardian.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Music Connect infringes your copyright, email musicconnectapp@yahoo.com with: your contact details, identification of the work, a link to the content, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act, and your signature. We remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers. If your content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice.
Reporting and moderation
You can report content or block any account from within the app. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, and we may do so without notice when the harm is serious.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate an account that repeatedly or seriously breaks these terms, or where we must for legal reasons.
Service as it is
Music Connect is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Music Connect after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and we both consent to that jurisdiction.
